About us
Female Scholars Foundation is a non-profit organization established to provide university sponsorship, guidance, and mentorship to young women in rural communities. Our goal is to equip them with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive in modern society and pursue reputable professional careers worldwide. We achieve this mission through partnerships with individuals, private institutions, government agencies, and development organizations.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
Must be a female student not over the age of 20.
Must have graduated from a public secondary school.
Must have a minimum JAMB score of 240 for the year 2025.
Must Possess at least five distinctions (A1–B3) in WAEC or NECO..
Our Approach
Scholarship
The female scholars are provided full scholarship covering tuition, books and living expenses throughout university.
Mentorship
Each female scholar is assigned a mentor who is an industry expert in their chosen career field to support with career guidance.
Internship
The female scholars are provided international and regional internship opportunities through our network.
Coaching
The female scholars are supported to develop interpersonal and leadership skills, through private coaching, webinars and group retreats.
Frequently Asked Questions
Scholars are selected on a merit basis. Eligible candidates are to submit their application on the website providing all required academic details and documents, including a personal “motivation essay”. Post review of the documentation, shortlisted candidates are invited to an interview.
